6 Obstacles On The Way To Success

Success and challenges go hand and hand. You cannot expect to take one and leave the other behind.

No, it will not work. If you want success, challenges will undoubtedly follow. They are so attached to each other that sometimes people inadvertently achieve success by taking challenges.

But if you are not struck by luck like those accidental successful people, then pursuing victory with one hundred percent awareness is your best bet. However, you need to know beforehand what awaits you.

Success is not amazing by itself. Rather, it is amazing thanks to the obstacles that exist between you and it. When you become successful after overcoming ups and downs, it becomes an empowering experience.

It is like you have jumped over mountains and finally gotten to where you want to be. It is not easy at all. But if you recognize the “mountains” in front of you, the long process will not be a surprise. And you will be able to enjoy the journey.

6 Amazing Obstacles to Overcome for Success

1. Failure

Without a doubt, failure is ranked first as the most formidable obstacle to success.

It manages to stop the majority of people from being optimistic about their goals. Just one failure is sufficient to make everything seem impossible later on.

If you are not strong enough to resist the urge to quit, it can end your struggle once and for all. In other words, you can kiss your potential for success goodbye.

But if you are resilient, you will come to know that failure is simply part of the process. So it is not there to kill your progress. Also with failure, you will learn so much as you push forward to better your understanding of the "How". You won't know how to do things right until you first do some of the things wrong.

2. Lack of Clarity

A lack of clarity blurs your path towards success, causing you to go off track. Without clarity, it is impossible to produce the consistent routine that is needed to create success.

You will find it difficult to map out your plan, and thus you will not act effectively to move forward. When you decide you are going on a trip to a different state the first thing you will do is decide where you are going, how you will get there, and what you will need to take with you. This is the exact thinking you need when you are aiming for success. You need to treat your goals and dreams as if you are leaving on a journey and you need to make sure you have everything you will need to get there.

Clarity plays an important role in every aspect of your life. You must obtain it before you can reach your maximum potential.

It allows you to clearly see your goals and the paths you can take to reach them. A lack of clarity does not only block you from success but also causes you to feel depressed. The depression will come from knowing where you want to be and knowing you aren't doing what it takes to get there. It's best to eliminate all distractions, map out a plan, pick a routine to stick to it (This will build character), and create objectives that you get done daily/weekly

3. Discomfort

Discomfort is one of the major obstacles that you are bound to experience. At the same time, it is also a sign that you are navigating through adversities and moving forward. Moving forward means you are leaving the normal feelings, people, places, things, thoughts, and so on.

If you do not feel uncomfortable on your way to greatness, it is likely that you are not yet making the necessary sacrifices to put yourself in the desired position or state of being.

Keep in mind that success lies outside the comfort zone. So instead of fearing discomfort, you can learn to enjoy it. One thing I always remind myself of when I am feeling the stress of the journey is " I only feel like this because I'm trying to be great". There is always a transitional period from where you are and where you want to go. There are new feelings, thoughts, and challenges in this transitional period that will challenge everything you are. This is because you are becoming new, you are being stretched into a finer product than you were before. You have to get through the transitional period to truly find success. Many don't make it because they didn't like the feeling and the discomfort when the transitional period began.

Make use of the opportunities it gives – the opportunities to overcome challenges and take your life to the next level.

4. Distraction

A distraction can harm your productivity, whereas multiple distractions can stop your progress towards success.

They offer instant gratification that you can enjoy anytime. What you may not realize is the deception that comes along with it. Distractions usually lead to procrastination, causing you to temporarily forget about your goals.

Without you knowing, they will make you waste precious time. This time could have been used for your dreams. Those late nights out could have been late nights working on your dreams. Your friends will convince you to come out and have a good time, but you have to remember these are your dreams and not theirs. This reminder will help you be accountable and put forth the effort it takes to be great. Many people fail their dreams because they are consumed by quick pleasures and distractions.

Raise your consciousness to overcome distractions. Be aware that they are everywhere, and do your best to avoid them.

5. Mental Exhaustion

Mental exhaustion is normal, provided that you do not have it too often. It is a sign that you are a human. You will be struck by it sometimes, but that is fine. Just do not sink into it.

The path to success can be a long fight, you will be mentally exhausted. Be sure to bounce back every time, so that you can keep on going.

Do not let mental exhaustion take you down no matter what happens. Realize that it is a test to elevate your strength to a new height. Take some time to meditate, write your thoughts down, and find healthy ways to destress. If you need to, take a night to watch a comedy and spend the night laughing to take your mind off of things. But get back to work the next day.

6. Negative Thinking

As you probably know, negative thinking can destroy everything; from your career and finances to relationships.

You do not want it to interfere with your business if you intend to achieve success, since its interference yields nothing less than bad outcomes.

Negative thinking is linked to pessimism, mood swings, and depression; none of which does any good to help you succeed. Energy is powerful, your energy can be negative or positive. You need to find a way to produce positive energy while working on projects, reaching goals, and handling anything that matters. Energy is contagious and can help or hurt the things around you.

Instead, these mental issues will lead you to destruction. It is important to keep them at bay by paying no heed to negative thoughts that serve as their roots.

If you want success you have to realize it's not all about the win, it's about the journey and the transformation of the process.

In closing always remember GREATNESS IS A DECISION
